Naomi Shah
Naomi Shah is the founder + CEO of Meet Cute (www.meetcute.com), a venture-backed ($9.3M) modern media company that produces original, scripted romcoms in podcast form. The company is filling a gap in audio today, where there are many news and nonfiction podcasts as well as a lack of diversity.
Meet Cute’s bite-sized doses of uplifting content, prioritize diverse storytelling and characters by telling stories across the full spectrum of love. The company has created over 350 stories since inception a year and a half ago and has accumulated over 2 million listens (averaging > 160k listens a month). Meet Cute is also repped by WME and has partnered with celebs and organizations such as Ellie Goulding, Julianne Hough, Lisa Loeb, Sara Shepard (Pretty Little Liars), and Idina Menzel's ABroaderWay Foundation for a podcast series.
Before starting Meet Cute, Naomi was a member of the investment team at NYC-based Union Square Ventures, where she spent most of her time talking to companies in the consumer and well-being space.
Prior to USV, she was a macro equities trader at Goldman Sachs and studied Mechanical Engineering (with a minor in Human Biology) at Stanford University.
