Editorial Contributor
Holly Mullen spent 30-plus years as a mainstream and alternative journalist at newspapers across the U.S. She was the first female sports editor at The Salt Lake Tribune, managed all coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games there, and later wrote a popular opinion column for the paper. She was executive director of Utah's only full-time support agency for survivors of sexual violence, and helped lead a successful effort to require the state to test thousands of neglected and backlogged rape kits. Holly is now a communications and public engagement manager with Salt Lake City government. She loves bicycling in Salt Lake City's canyons, running, messing with the New York Times crossword puzzle and savors a well-mixed Negroni at cocktail time.
