Donna Moriarty is a writer, editor and author whose career spans more than 30 years, working with nonprofits and higher education. Through her company, Silversmith Writing & Editing, she has written and edited award-winning publications, web content, and marketing materials. Her portfolio also includes short fiction and non-fiction, book reviews, and a one-act play, and her work has appeared in MS., Backstage, San Francisco, and The Hartford Courant. Donna’s first book, Not Just Words: How a Good Apology Makes You Braver, Bolder, and Better at Life, was released in May 2018. Personal Statement: “I’ve been writing since the age of seven, after a nun caught me in a rather creative lie and notified my parents. Questions were asked. Brows were furrowed. Then, to my astonishment, the grownups praised my vivid imagination and began saying I would someday be a writer. And so I am. Thank you, Sister Mary Fredrika.”
