Speaking with Kara was wonderful. She is very personable and was able to offer solid advice after listening to me ramble, not an easy task. We were able to break through some doubts I was harboring regarding transferrable skills and the conversation was overall helpful in diminishing the behemoth task of job hunting. Kara provided great reassurance, specific networking strategies that I had not considered and encouraged me to expand my network as much as possible, both in the traditional way and the "old school" way. Also, the ease of the conversation was lovely, just like talking to an old friend.

Kara was wonderful to work with and was great at quickly understanding what I needed to craft my resume in a way that clearly told my story and accurately represented my experiences. The entire session was incredibly useful and I feel like I got a lot of value out of it. I'd love to work with her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone!

While Kara was nice to confirm that my skills are transferable to the private sector, I received little actionable feedback or follow-up. She told me she would follow-up soon with some resources she mentioned during the session, but I never heard from her again.

Kara is someone who totally "gets it." She has quickly been able able grasp where I am in my job search and the things I'm seeking in my next role, then apply strategy to how I should approach it moving forward. She naturally picked up on personality traits and skills I didn't explicitly state simply by listening to me talk. Further, she's been able to easily relate to me given her experience in the tech industry and in sales, specifically. Our two conversations have flowed naturally, and I've left both feeling energized and well prepared with tangible next steps toward my goals (first, beginning my job applications, and in the second, sharpening my resume and preparing for initial interviews).
