About Me

I help people create a career strategy. It's all about helping you feel confident as you move forward in your career. Together we will find ways to energize your job search or career development efforts. I love helping people find new levers to pull to see results and push forward with positive momentum. Lately I'm loving: New Manager Challenges Performance Reviews Interview Preparation These tricky conversations get so much easier when you have a plan and it's amazing to see someone start a session with questions and doubt and leave confident and ready to put their best foot forward. As a Career Coach, I help people in two ways. Coaching - Coaching is not about giving advice, but helping you find the answers that are already there. When I'm acting as a coach, my job is to ask you powerful questions to help you get to the answers that are just below the surface. It's amazing to see how answers reveal themselves through thoughtful reflection and the help of a professional whose sole purpose is to help you move forward. Coaching is particularly helpful if you are working through a difficult decision or trying to identify your strengths to determine your next career move. I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and President of my local International Coach Federation branch. This means that I've completed 500+ hours of coaching, 125+ hours of training and completed a Coach Knowledge Assessment as well as receiving mentoring and supervision other experienced coaches. Consulting - Consulting is where I become the expert. I use my extensive experience in Human Resources and professional development to help my clients present themselves in the best possible light. I do this through intensive and collaborative resume review, authentic interview preparation, job search and career growth strategy and the creation of impactful performance reviews. I love my job so much! There is nothing better than watching a client who comes to a session very heavy with a big decision get lighter and lighter during our time together and leave the call energized. That is why I do what I do.

Alyson was extremely helpful with interviewing tips and my resume. She is highly resourceful and knowledgeable on how to answer interview questions effectively. She gave the perfect amount of praise and constructive feedback. With her background in HR and leadership, she was able to assist me not only with my current career transition, but my future goals of becoming a manager or team leader. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking to seriously land their dream job, make a career pivot, or improve skills in their current role.

I had a great session with Alyson. I decided to leave my job a few months ago and have been taking the time to reassess what I want to do next after a lifetime of always having a next step in mind. It's been a huge transition time for me. I have found a position that I am interested in and have already made it through the first two rounds of interviews so my session with Alyson focused primarily on salary negotiation. I have never been in this position where I do not even know the salary range I'm up for, nor have I ever really negotiated my salary. Alyson was great about asking me questions to guide my own self-reflection to come up with answers myself. She was also wonderful about suggesting possible resources to tap into for salary research purposes. I love Alyson's positivity, enthusiasm and follow through! I found our session incredibly helpful.

Today's session with Alyson was exactly what I needed to learn ways to focus my job search and to learn ways to reorganize my search in a way that makes it feel more manageable. Alyson had an incredible way of listening to what my biggest challenges are right now and describing ways to tackle each of the challenges going forward. I would definitely recommend Alyson to anyone who is feeling completely lost and overwhelmed with the dark and looming job hunt. Thank you, Alyson!
