You may also consider hitting up your nearby Plato’s Closet or local consignment shop, but prepare to have your clothing judged—and to feel surprisingly insulted that they don't, in fact, want your Charlotte Hornets jersey from 1995.

How to Find a Weekend Job

There’s no doubt that one of the hardest parts of getting a weekend job is actually finding one. But, if you know where to look it will make your life a lot easier.

Always Reach Out to Your Network

First, ask your network if they know of any easy weekend jobs you could pick up—maybe an old colleague needs some freelance writing or graphic design help, or a friend’s niece or nephew might need online tutoring. It never hurts to ask!
If your network comes up dry, turn to Google and LinkedIn. By simply typing in what you’re looking for, you’ll find hundreds (if not thousands) of opportunities, many of them remote. Just be sure to confirm it’s not a scam and thoroughly research each of the companies before applying.

Be Persistent

Lastly, be persistent. It’s rare that the perfect weekend job will land in your lap (although if it does, good for you!). However, if making extra money is a priority for you then it may take ample follow-ups and research to find the right side hustle for you.

How to Manage Your Work-Life Balance

While the allure of more money is always appealing, remember to take care of your mental and physical well-being. Especially if you’re already working a full-time job during the week, adding on a weekend job—however "easy" it may seem—can feel exhausting.
To avoid work-related burnout, find a job that you’re passionate about so it’s enjoyable for you.
If you’ve been thinking about making the transition to a new career, this could be a great opportunity to find something that builds your skillset while still bringing in extra money. Just remember to pencil in time for self-care while you’re working hard to meet your financial goals.
