CAREER CONTESSA (CC) is an online career advice and mentorship platform for women.

We have an opening for an Integrated Marketing Manager to join our growing company and work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, creative, and generally rad environment.

In this position, you will report directly to CC’s founder & CEO Lauren McGoodwin. You will work closely with Lauren to grow the Career Contessa brand by designing, implementing, and optimizing various digital marketing campaigns—think email marketing, content partnerships, paid advertising, web analytics, and more!

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is analytical and data-driven. You should be able to report on and make actionable business recommendations based on the results of your marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate will also be passionate about developing creative strategies to increase brand awareness and cultivate customer trust. You’ll also be quick on your feet because #startuplife and, hopefully, appreciate working in a tight-knit group that likes happy hours, banter, and getting things done. We do.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT: Collaborate with Career Contessa’s CEO to grow the CC audience through digital editorial, events, partnerships, video, PR, and more. Emphasis on collaborating with influencers and developing various mediums to engage the CC community.

  • CONTENT STRATEGY: Collaborate with Career Contessa’s Editor to develop content marketing strategy with an emphasis on asset creation and distribution across various channels.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY: Lead strategy for our social media efforts across all channels. We’ve built up substantial followings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, and we’re looking for someone who can analyze what type of content is working best on which channels. You’ll collaborate with our Social Media Coordinator to turn your insights into actionable plans, and report back with results.

  • PAID SOCIAL: You should be comfortable with managing Facebook advertising campaigns, and you should able to use social media tools to optimize your workflow and report on results.

  • EMAIL MARKETING: Build and optimize our weekly email newsletter and other dedicated email campaigns/automated funnels. You should be comfortable with using (or up to quickly learn!) Convertkit to A/B test emails, optimize for engagement (open rates, click-through rates), and report on your efforts. You will also be responsible for coming up with new strategies to grow our list using content upgrades, email courses, giveaways, + more.

  • CONTENT PARTNERSHIPS: We have a variety of content syndication partnerships, and we’d like you to collaborate with our Social Media Coordinator to continue building and maintaining relationships with partners to grow traffic to our website, as well as grow email subscribers. You should be comfortable sourcing and following up on various content partnerships via email and over the phone.

  • WEB ANALYTICS: Own all marketing analytics (including web, content, and social), produce dashboards with key conversion metrics specific to Career Contessa’s overall goals. When it comes to analytics, you should be able to decide what’s important to track, how you’re going to track it, and how you’re going to use that information to further optimize our content marketing efforts.

  • ANALYSIS: Own the analysis of your marketing efforts from start to finish! We have a ton of different marketing and communications activities going on simultaneously, and we’re looking for someone who can effectively allocate a digital marketing budget based on channel performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience in digital marketing
  • Analytical mindset: Ability to analyze and distil data to communicate strategic recommendations
  • Master multitasker: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; incredibly organized and detail-oriented
  • Talented writer: Ability to craft intelligent content that adheres to (or develops!) the Career Contessa voice
  • Familiarity with social media/marketing/content tools: Ability to bend a content management system to your will, experience with Google Analytics, Convertkit, Leadpages, Iconosquare, all native social analytics, or similar solutions
  • Passionate about empowering women’s careers
